The main beneficiary of our charity donations is the RNLI

We raise money for other good causes and some of our other fundraising efforts include:

Members toured Scotland in a sponsored species hunt in aid of PIRSAC a lifeboat funded entirely by the local community near the Isle of Whithorn.

Angling Coach's Stolen Tackle

A local angling coach who specialises in working with less fortunate kids had his gear stolen and LISA members attended a meet to help raise enough money to replace the lost gear twice over.

Teenage Cancer

In 2016 we raised £250 for a members daughter who had her head shaved in aid of a teenage cancer trust.

Pennies for Pisces

We have also launched a new fund raiser for the RNLI called Pennies for Pisces where members pledge a penny for each point allocated to various species caught during sessions in each year. In its first year, 2016, this initiative is well on its way to raising £1000 on its own.

We are always open to suggestions for more good angling related causes.
